William J. “Bill” Moeckel

There’s a shortage of great financial planners in the world. Sadly, we lost one, much too early, on October 21, 2015.

We knew him so briefly, yet we owe him so much. As Great Oak Capital Partners was in its planning stages, Bill offered his time, wisdom, expertise and guidance to help us. He inspired us to believe that we could do this.

We don’t know why he gave so much. Perhaps he saw a little of himself in us, when he first began his firm. We would certainly like to see a lot of him in ourselves someday, if we’re so lucky. Perhaps someone helped him once, and he was paying it forward. But most certainly, Bill was a genuinely caring, kind and generous person, who wanted to do what’s right in both business and life.

Thank you, Bill. We promise to make you proud.
